Westinghouse Electric was founded by George Westinghouse in 1886. They brought electricity to homes throughout the United States. In 1919 they created RCA with GE, AT&T and United. It also bought the American division of Marconi. The electronics boom in the late 40 and early 1950 sees Westinghouse develop valves for commercial ,military and civilian use. Westinghouse made some of the finest electronic valves available and set the bench mark for American electronic valve production along with RCA.
