These are the ORIGINAL Svetlana winged C 6550C which has been relabelled and Tested by RUBY tubes in the USA to sell under their own brand name. The production date is 2001 and the valve carry the winged C logo The Original Svetlana 6550C is regarded as one of the best sounding 6550 available

These were made by JSC Svetlana and after the law suit these became known by name of Winged C

Many customers have told us that the original winged C are the best sounding items in audio amplifiers.

This valve had a number of improved features over the previous models, The valve features a unique tri plate anode and gold wound grids to help heat transfer. It has internal bracing and thick grade glass for long life.

The Svetlana 6550C features a gold plated molybdenum alloy control grid and graphite coated screen grid to reduce secondary emission.

The valve is rightly prized for its exceptional sound quality providing a deep rhythmic bass and clear musical detail. The bass is rock solid and very well balanced, indeed the bass clarity is better than the original General Electric. The top end is very smooth with no hardness on even complex musical passages. They were also voted best buy by many of the world's top reviewers in both audio and professional music magazines back in the day
