Siemens are a huge German owned manufacturer that has made and developed some of the worlds best vacuum tubes. Siemens first patented the x-ray tube On March 24, 1896. Siemens have made some of the best sounding audio valves that have become highly sought after for their sound and build quality.
Original German Siemens EF86 6267 which were specially produced for the German Military in 1971 and are the 6267 high grade variant which is a special long life EF86.
These 6267 EF86 valves have the grey electrostatic barrel which wraps around the plates which results in the best performance and low noise.

These valves carry the BWB 933 certification which is printed on the glass inside the German military Eagle Crest designation. This meant that the valves exceeded the standard that was laid down for the 6267 by German Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement. So it does not get better than this.

The Siemens EF86 is superbly constructed with the getter being supported with circular mica spacer which is in turn is supported on the large grey electrostatic barrel

The Siemens EF86 is one of the lowest noise EF86 on the market which makes it ideal for tube microphone applications. The Siemens provides a very well balanced sound with superb image and detail. This valve is equally at home in high end audio preamps, Power amps or in vintage guitar amplifiers due to its very refined sound which is never harsh. This is the reason why this valve has been our most popular EF86 for demanding applications. Sonically only bettered by the dome top Telefunkens this valve offers incredible performance.

The valve comes in the original military white carton with the German Nato code and date of manufacture on the box.
