In the input stage we use a matched pair of selected Mullard ECC81 CV4024 which is a high quality Military made double triode.
The distortion or enhancer valve we use a selected Mullard 6AS6 for its unique distortion characteristics. The Mullard 6AS6 has a smooth a fat distorted character that is full of midrange warmth and clarity. Many studio engineers have told us that they like the organic vintage distortion that this valve produces providing the classic vintage valve sound.
A special quality Philips PCF80 is used in the output stage in a matched pair

Our valve revalve kits use only the highest grade new old stock valves and the best of the modern made valves. We have put these kits together to allow easy ordering for our studio customers.
This Rooster Mk 1 valve Pre amp & EQ full Upgrade kit is for the original TC Rooster using Mullard ECC81 & 6AS6 5725 valves. It consists of a set of 6 selected valves to provide the best sonic and audio performance from this legendary piece of studio equipment.
