Early Crunch Early Break Up


At last a preamp set with early crunch and early break up.

What you get is an increase in balls, bite and brightness. The valve is easily overdriven and produces a warm rounded musical crunch early on. Guitar solos project out of the amplifier with a vengeance and produce a nice aggressive bite which is extremely musical.

The set uses a combination of Classic NOS 12AX7

In V1 we use what many guitarists, amplifier designers considered as the best sounding
12AX7 Type the nos 80s Beijing military 6N4-J 12AX7 with foil dimpled square getter.
It is the valves distorted and overdriven sound that made this valve Guitarists first choice with Lead solos cutting through the mix like no other.

The Relic 12AX7WC is a Shuguang replica of the Beijing 6N4-J 12AX7WA using the same rugged anode construction and triple mica spacers as the 6N4 J. Many players still comment to us that their amplifiers have not sounded as good as when they had these valves fitted.

All Relic pre amplifier valves are specially selected and also include a balanced valve for the phase inverter position.
