Mike Fuller started Fulltone in 1991 while working as a session guitarist. Fulltone pedals were born out of a love for music, great gear, great tone, and a desire to make bullet-proof products. The OCD is still the go to pedal and as Don Felder of the Eagles said- I love the Fulltone OCD pedal and use it in EVERY pedal board I own
If you could only buy one pedal then the OCD is the only pedal to have

Since its introduction in 2004, the Fulltone OCD Obsessive Compulsive Drive pedal has been the go to overdrive and has become one of the world's biggest selling overdrive pedals.

This iconic pedal of overdrive perfection has just got better with the OCD v2.

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as hard clippers connected to v-ref instead of to ground, as was the norm.

These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

New Features
Enhanced by pass, Mike has never been satisfied with the buffered bypass circuits found in many pedals, so after years of R and D, He invented an alternative which he calls Enhanced Bypass. Instead of employing Field Effect Transistors for unity gain like most buffered pedals, OCD v2 features FETs in a Class A configuration that maintains the dynamics and touch sensitivity of your playing. This delivers a more expressive sound than you can get from traditional buffer circuits. The OCD v2 also offers switchable True Bypass via an internal switch. This also prevents loss of dynamics on long cable runs and has true silent switching.

The pedal also has Class A configured discrete 2N5457 JFET input section, raising the input impedance to 1 mega ohms (previously 330K) and increasing the dynamics. The result is significantly better interaction with both single coil and humbuckers.

Still not convinced that this is a must have pedal, Well then I leave the last word to a Mr Don Felder of The Eagles. Don wrote to Mike in his email, I love the Fulltone OCD pedal and use it in EVERY pedal board I own and use on stage and in the studio. It is an Amazing piece of gear and I never say that about anything I dont truly love.

Not a paid for comment just a comment in an email that speakers volumes. The OCD V2 is the only overdrive you will ever need.
