These valves date from the early 1960s and were long life valves made by Radio Technique for French military. Full 12AU7WA/6189W specification with Grey ribbed anode plate, internal supports with cross swords marking.

The 6189W/ECC82 was a special military grade valve that was used in aero Avionics and industrial communications equipment.
These valves were made with the highest grade materials and with no compromise on selection or quality control. These valves have a number of unique features such as high grade filament isolation so even after long periods of use the filament will not degrade. Immune to shock and vibration and were also rated for long life. To put it simply, No modern day ECC82 is made to this specification.

R.T or Radio Technique was part of the Philips group and these were made with the best materials with very tight tolerances. These are great audio valves as they are very well balanced with great detail and Mullard style finesse.

All our audio customers have really rated these over the years as they provide a warm, detailed and neutral sound. In audio circuits the valves have a very clear bass response, which is both tight and musical. The sound has even detail across the audio spectrum. treble is clear and smooth. The sound quality is not equalled by any modern day valve.

This is also a great valve for use in guitar and bass amps as it can handle shock and vibration with no rattles or breakdown. Fully recommended for guitar amplifiers such as Ampeg, Black Star, Marshall and Vox amplifiers.

2) Balanced -matched triode sections for Phase splitter, Audio & Guitar amplifiers.

All Balanced preamp valves are Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition have passed the following tests:
