The Adzam name was a sub brand of Mazda UK, simply Mazda spelt backwards and was sold as a distribution line.
Adzam EF732 is a high-quality sub-miniature pentode that is well known for its extremely low noise and low microphonics making it an excellent choice for use in valve microphones.

Adzam was part of French Mazda and was one of the biggest manufactures of valve in France. Over the years these have been very popular in such microphones as they have very low noise and produce a very refined sound

EF732 is interchangeable with the 5840 valve which is currently used in Telefunkens current production models of the AK-47mkII and ELA M 260.5840 is electrically similar to the AC701K which was used in such microphones as the Neumann M-49.
