Our upgrade kits will enable you to get the tone that you desire to suit your musical style. We have helped many customer get the best out of their amplifiers over the last 20 years. Indeed our own Harma E84L, which is the same Russian military valve that Hughes and Kettner are now using in their 30 th anniversary Tubemeister models. This is one valve that we have recommend for the last 20 years and with our upgrade kits you can now upgrade tour Tubemeister to Anniversary specification.
This Tubemeister 36 Classic EL84 Retro upgrade kit covers the Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 36 head and combo. It is designed to provide the ideal combination for those who demand a tight driving rock sound with plenty of rich sustain. It is an effective upgrade over the stock valves for those who want a more authentic Rock & Blues sound without the fizz.

The Harma ECC83 Retro provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with excellent 3D midrange warmth. This valve has a traditional British voiced sound that has a huge singing sustaining tone when overdriven. The outstanding feature of this valve is its smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows.

The Harma EL84 Retro has a deep well defined tight bass that produces the classic slam of the Mullard in the bottom end. The midrange performance has been tweaked to provide warm clear detail at low volumes with clear articulation and smooth even distortion when the amplifier is cranked. This gives the amp a punchier British sound with that warm midrange response.
