The Sylvania 5751 is the super rare 1970s vintage black plate 5751 that has triple micas spaces and was made for the US military. These are regarded by many the best sounding 5751 ever produced.

The valve is very fast and dynamic which makes it exceptional audio valve. The top end is cleaner than every other USA made 5751 and the valve soundstage is very well balanced.

When we tested these as expected, they all test with very low noise and microphonics. The triode balance of these valves is exception with all the valves having identical output from each triode.

This Sylvania 5751 has black plates and triple mica with square getter. Our batch was made in the late 1973 for the military and are packaged in original military shock proof polystyrene cartons.

These valve are a real find and are in pristine condition

The 5751 is often used in place of a 12AX7. The Original USA made 5751 are the only valves that display the correct gain, generally have 70% of the gain of a 12AX7. Modern made 5751 simply do not. If you have too much gain in your pre amp using a 5751 valve will greatly improve your overall sound. These 1970s 5751 Sylvania are simply as good as a 5751 can get.

Balanced option
The special balanced item has matched triode sections for use in critical positions in audio amplifiers tube compressors, phase inverter position, tube microphones or input positions where balanced operation is required.
