Blackstar guitar amplifiers have quite rightly caused a major buzz in the music industry since their launch back in 2007. By upgrading the valves to our selected sets customers have been able to voice their amps to their personal requirements. Customers have reported a range of benefits when upgrading the valves over the factory items. Here we have listed our most common upgrades using current production and the best new old stock items to help you get the most out of these fine Blackstar amplifiers.

This Groove Tube EL34 Mullard Classic upgrade kit is designed to give you the classic British Rock sound with a nice crunchiness under overdriven conditions which is a big improvement over standard valves.

The Harma ECC83 Retro provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with excellent 3D midrange warmth. This valve has a traditional British voiced sound that has a huge singing sustaining tone when overdriven. The outstanding feature of this valve is its smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm overdrive with tight fat punchy lows.

The EL34M Groove tube is based upon The Mullard EL34 XF2 dual getter version of the sixties.

The original Mullard EL34 defined the sound of rock music and the GT EL34M recreates the classic original sound. The EL34M has the originals pronounced mid-range punch, tight low end slam with smooth the top end break up that gets warm and crunchy when pushed hard. The EL34M has a wonderfully rounded midrange sound with a fat articulate tone.

This is a great blues valve as it is very touch responsive, think of Gary Moore tone on "still got the blues" and that is what the Groove Tube EL34 Mullard Re issue excels at.
