We take selected GT items and in addition to GTs in house testing and distortion rating on output valves they also undergo our own unique real world burst testing. The burst testing process involves a series of varying timed electrical signal bursts. This runs the valves under the same stress conditions that they will meet in your amplifier. All output valves are then dual matched by us on current and gain. This will ensure that you get the best selected GT valves available anywhere in the world.

We believe this combination gives you the best tested valves available anywhere in the world.
Special balanced item with matched sections for use in phase inverter position, tube microphones or input positions where balanced operation is required.

Groove Tubes Super Premium valves are when we take the selected GT items and in addition to GTs in house testing the valves are specially drive tested by us and checked for noise and microphoney. This will ensure that you get the best sounding and selected GT valves available anywhere in the world.

The Groove Tubes 12AX7 Mullard reissue was instigated by Aspen Pittman with Groove Tubes following the original Mullard design and production techniques meticulously. Groove Tubes used the Triple mica design of the original which reduces microphonics. They have followed the famous ladder plate design and the Mullard welding process which gave this valve that famous Mullard stability.

More importantly, sonically they made an absolute classic; they have made a valve that has all the dynamics and the bite of the originals. This valve also has a super midrange warmth and clarity of the Classic British Mullard. What really sets this valve apart from all the other current production is it has that bite and when pushed produces that instant CLAPTON scorching Bluesbreaker lead tone.

This is one of the truly great guitar ECC83 that was exclusive to Groove tubes and a fitting legacy from Aspen to all of us.

In addition to GTs in house testing these Premium GT are specially Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition by us and checked for noise and microphoney.
