Mallory 150 series are tubular metalized polyester capacitors rated for 630V with plus/minus 5% tolerance. The Mallory 150 axial coupling capacitors are preferred by many top amp builders and repairers due to a warmer more vintage tonality. The sound of the Mallory 150 series makes then ideal for use as upgrading coupling caps and tone circuit caps.

Mallory 150 series are tubular metalized polyester capacitors rated for 630V with plus/minus 5% tolerance. They are more rounded and darker in the bottom end with less top end brightness in the sound when compared to the Sprague orange drop capacitors. They are an ideal upgrade to your coupling caps if your amplifier is harsh and brittle sounding.

Gerald Weber of Kendrick amplifiers said I prefer the polyester tubular foil capacitors as the ones sounding the most like vintage caps for guitar amps.

These caps are the Mallory 150 series cap as they have a very similar sound to the vintage style paper caps
